Current Programme

We meet at Friends Meeting House, Jesus Lane at 7:30pm on the third Tuesday of the month.  Please arrive by 7:20 pm so we can begin promptly at 7:30. The closest car park is Park Street Car Park, there is sometimes other parking in the streets nearby, and Citi buses 5, 6, and 8 plus Busway Route B all stop close by.

If you’re not a member of the Ladybirds then you’re more than welcome to join us as a guest. We only charge £4 to non-members at meetings, so come on out and see if we’re you’re cuppa! Please note that after three meetings, we request that you become a member.

Things We’ve Already Done in 2018

January – we talked about the current NFWI campaign regarding plastic soup and ways we can all help as individuals or as activists together.

February – storyteller Carolyn Causton led us in several fun activities while telling stories of her own all to get our creative thoughts flowing.

March – our AGM raised lots of interesting issues for us to address in terms of our campaigns, our funding, what we want to do this year and going forward, plus winners of our bursaries and annual Bakeoff.

April – Guest Sophie Tully spoke to us about nutrition and supplements and made us feel very empowered about how we can tailor our food to each of our own unique needs.

May – We worked on our CirculART installation as a craft project and we voted on the Mental Health Matters resolution (we voted for it and it passed).

June – Members asked each other questions and shared stories about our lives.

July – We had a speaker about managing stress in our lives.
